Kay’s Canal Crafty Arts
Kay paints a vast range of items with traditional Braunston style canal art. Everything from traditional Buckby style water cans to piggy banks. As an historian she recognises the importance of this traditional waterways’ folk art. However, she also understands that 21st Century customers want items that are both beautiful and usable in their everyday lives. Many of her items are ‘as new’ up-cycled pieces. For instance teapots and gin bottles. On the other hand she also paints items that are brand new. For example wooden spoons and hand painted slates. She is also happy to paint bespoke commisions.
